A few weeks ago I headed across Lancashire back into Mersyside to photograph the wedding of Carmel & Nick, at the Formby Hall Golf Club & Spa, Southport.  I’d been recommended to Carmel & Nick by Fran & Iain, whose wedding at Eaves Hall I shot in late summer 2009 and I was determined to do anotehr great job! Luckily I think I have succeeded!

Once again for May 2011, we had an iffy forecast, but defying expecations, the weather was actually quite decent when I arrived at Carmel’s parents’ house to do the bridal preparation stuff.  But it wasn’t to last and although I can provide my own sunshine courtesy of photoshop 😉 by the time everyone had exited the church, the rain was beginning and it didn’t let up very much for the rest of the day.  Carmel was a real star – I’ve worked with a lot of brides that were worried about rain, the dress getting wet or dirty or simply being cold – Carmel endured the coldest and windiest May wedding day I’ve ever been faced with and was upbeat and happy throughout, and we have some great photographs as a result 😀

Whilst I’m here, I’d like to thank all the guests for being so easy to work with, and the staff at Formby Hall for being really and genuinely helpful! It is really appreciated.  Lastly, I’d like to say hello to the great DJ the bride and groom booked, Jeff Wall, who I’ve worked with before and is a great guy!

So, to finish,  I hope everyone likes the photos – if you do, please leave a comment here or on Facebook and tell your friends about me!  Gallery link to follow once the bride & groom have had a good look 🙂  undefinedundefinedundefinedundefinedundefined
